Risk analysis, though a very wide concept, can broadly be defined as determination and calculation of the risks that individuals or public will face in a local or global event, and resolving preventative / controlling acts. Commonly, there are two distinct type of risk analysis is applied. In qualitative risk analysis, priorities are initialized by assessing the risks that can manifest, and in quantitative analysis, these priorities are computed using scientific and engineering approaches. Mostly statistical methods are used at this stage.
